a stall

Vintage began with a table of second-hand workwear and a conviction that old clothes were simply better made. Seventeen years on, that hasn't changed.

  1. 2009

    A stall on a Sunday

    Two friends, a trestle table and a van full of army surplus and workwear bought by the kilo.

    The first shop

    A former print workshop in Icherisheher becomes the first Vintage store — and, upstairs, the first repair bench.

    Grading, properly

    We introduce our four-step condition grades and start measuring every garment flat before it's listed.

    The designer room

    An in-house authentication team opens the designer room — from house-check trenches to Y2K nylon.

    Online, everywhere

    The full catalogue goes online, photographed and graded in the same studio that stocks our stores.
